Collection for Wildwood Food Pantry
The Villages Running Club will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Wildwood Food Pantry. Items will be collected at the regular runs starting Tuesday, April 20th through Thursday, April 29th (4/20, 4/22, 4/25, 4/27, 4/29). Steve and Carol Wolf will be coordinating the collection of items and the transport of items to the pantry.
Last year, The Wildwood Food Pantry collected 360,600 pounds of food which was distributed to qualified food insecure families residing in Wildwood, Coleman, Oxford, Royal, Webster, the forest community of Croom-A-Coochee, and other Sumter County areas.
Items most needed for the pantry are: peanut butter, jelly/jam, canned fruit, canned vegetables, boxed jell-O/Pudding, canned meats (chicken, tuna, etc.), pancake mix, canned beans, canned soups-chilli.
