TVRC Social Committee member, Terri Bower, took charge of restarting the group’s Home Runs after a hiatus brought on by the pandemic. Home Runs start and finish at the home of a member of TVRC. “The idea is to explore other areas of our wonderful Villages and add to the social nature of our Sunday runs,” said Terri.
Terri opted to host the July Home Run from her home in the Pine Hills/Pine Ridge area. Group members enjoyed exploring new running paths, nibbling post-run snacks and splashing in the pool to cool off after a hot July run!
The next Home Run is scheduled for August 22 from Dianne Schultz’s house at 1312 Fort Lawn Loop in The Village of Caroline. Diane will provide a variety of running routes from 3-10+ miles long with runs scheduled to start at 6:30am. Runners should plan to enjoy time together after the run no matter the distance covered. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Look to Facebook for additional information.
Home Runs are scheduled monthly with the specific Sunday date and start time selected by the runner. The 2021 slots are filled except for November. If you are interested in hosting, 11/2021 or in 2022 contact Terri Bower via FB.
