- Members attended this meeting at Colony Cottage Rec Center. John Valasco welcomed all the members and reviewed the agenda for our meeting.
- Southern Adventure runs will continue in February. We will meet at Everglades Rec Center at 7 AM on Sunday February 19th and runs will begin at 7:15.
- The next Home Run is scheduled for February 26th. Dianne Schultz and Valerie Miller will host the run from Dianne’s home. Address and routes will be published.
- The TVRC Short Run Program began on Tuesday. Barb Mathewson and Jack Coutts will lead a run/walk group 3 miles each Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday beginning at 7 AM. Check out the TVRC website for more info and for profiles of Jack and Barb.
- New Friday runs are happening from the South! 2 locations…. The first 2 weeks of the month will start at the Everglades rec center. Second 2 weeks will start from the Bradford postal center. Start time is 7 AM. Various distances are available (4,6,10 mile loop ).
- Apparel update – all apparel is on order. We expect delivery at the end of February or early March.
- Mark Rossini gave a financial update. $1660 in dues has been collected so far. 83 members paid so far, and we have 16 brand new members this year!
- We have a new opportunity for Community Reach Out. Wildwood Middle/High school Track Team needs help with their track meets. First opportunity is Friday 2/10 at 3PM. Mark Goetz is coordinating volunteers. Additional chances to volunteer will be announced.
- Guest Speakers – Budd and Barb Bettler
- Thank you to Budd and Barb for sharing their running and travel stories with the club. Everyone enjoyed hearing Budd’s running journey and especially his stories from his many Boston Marathons. Barb started running later in life but she hasn’t stopped yet! We are looking forward to joining her for 8.0 miles to celebrate her 80th birthday in September!
