Pedestrians Safety Program proposed to members by Jennifer. All in agreement. Club to design brochures and to obtain reflective bands (possibly with TVRC logo) to hand out at events and as needed.
Pedestrian safety starts with us, we must lead by example.

Looking for race ideas from members for fall 2025, Winter 2026
Members should come with ideas on destinations and races. They would like to participate in at the April meeting. We will have a vote on which races people would like to do as a group

Guest Speaker: Tere Demoss announced volunteer opportunities with Florida Cancer Specialist Foundation, 3 hours/week. Brownwood, Spanish Springs locations
Trish Chandler presented information regarding Apparel sales. Orders will be taken 12/9/2024 through 1/12/2025. Checks are required with order forms, and should be made payable to TVRC. (Order forms are available at morning run or can be downloaded from the Villages Running club web site) Please see web site for new holiday designs. New colors: navy (visor, hats, shirts) purple for men tee shirts and tank tops.
Jennifer Letch shared information regarding Runapalooza 2025: Savannah Center January 9th, 2025. Please RSVP by 12/31/2024: sign up at morning run, by email: thevillagesrunningclub@gmail.com, or to Sheri Michel or any board member. BYOB, bring a dish to pass or make a donation (money collected will be used for entertainment, games, prizes. Please submit a photo of yourself as a teenager or young adult for a games of guessing who is who! Table seating assignment will be by lottery, to allow us to mix and meet new members.

Announcement:
The Villages proposed a 15K event to coincide with LSL running of the squares. A committee has been formed. The event is in the planning stages. Target date January 2026
Fall running start time will change to 7AM beginning Sunday September 22, 2024
Bradford Southern Runners will add days to the running schedule beginning October 1, 20204 (Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
CPR training will be offered at the November 14th members meeting, limited to 24 participants at a cost of $10.00 (this course is training only NOT certification)
Holiday Party January 2025- information to be announced in October: waiting to hear from The Villages

6/13/2024 Monthly Members Meeting Minutes

Financial update by Terri Brower: will open new TVRC account through Wells Fargo to offer online banking and ATM access. 3 signers on the account. Specific details of the financial status will be reviewed at September 2024 meeting.

After reviewing costs of catering and bar tending at the American Legion hall, The board and members have agreed to have the holiday party at a Villages Rec Center (TBD). There is still discussion of non residents participation.
